College-specific Postgraduate Scholarships


1. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarship:

This scholarship is awarded to approximately 600 high-achieving students pursuing graduate research at the university. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship, and they will not have to submit a separate application.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • Full-fee coverage up to 2 years for master’s students and 4 years for students undertaking a doctoral degree

  • Living allowance, including limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave

  • Relocation grant of $3000 to international student

  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students

Eligibility:

  • Be a student at the University of Melbourne with excellent academic grades.


2. The University of New South Wales Business School International Scholarship:

This is one of the many postgraduate scholarships in Australia. 8 international postgraduate students of the university’s business school are given a scholarship of $10,000 per year. The applicants will be selected based on their academics, extracurricular activities, leadership skills, etc.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • Minimum $5000 for undergraduate and $10,000 for postgraduate studies.

Eligibility:

  • Be a student of the University of New South Wales Business School

  • Academic merit

  • Leadership skills: school, workplace, or community

  • Extracurricular activities: sports, cultural activities, volunteering or work experience, etc.

  • Aptitude and commitment to studying a degree at UNSW Business School


3. International Scientia Coursework Scholarship by the University of New South Wales (PUCA1024):

This scholarship is given to international students commencing a graduate or post-graduate program at the university. The scholarship has two schemes. The first one covers the full tuition fee, while the second one grants $20,000 per year towards tuition fees.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • Either full tuition fee or $20,000 per year

Eligibility:

  • Academic Merit

  • Reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW

  • Leadership skills in the school, community, or workplace

  • Extracurricular activities


4. Monash International Leadership Scholarship:

International students commencing a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at the university are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • 100% course fee

Eligibility:

  • Academic merit

  • Scholarship application statement (500 words)

  • The student’s potential to be an ambassador for Monash University.

  • Maintain a weighted average mark (WAM) of 70 each semester.

  • Participation in at least three marketing and/or scholarship promotional activities, which include attendance at official scholarship functions and participating in marketing activities and networking events,.


5. The Monash MBA International Excellence in Leadership Scholarship: Two scholarships, each of $16,000, are given to exceptional students pursuing an MBA from the university. Students have to apply for this scholarship. The selected applicants will then be called for an interview.

  • Selections are based on the following assessments of the applicants:

  • Career trajectory: career choices made by the applicant

  • Career planning: applicant’s aspirations and achievements

6. Peter Faber Business School Postgraduate Scholarship:

The Peter Faber Business School Postgraduate Scholarship is meant for students enrolled in any postgraduate program at the Peter Faber Business School, Australian Catholic University. This scholarship is open to international students who are enrolled full-time in a postgraduate program at the School of Business at ACU. Students applying for this scholarship must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial award from the government or ACU. This scholarship is given only to those students who have a previous academic result of 70% or more. There is no formal application for this scholarship. The information given in your application form for admission to the postgraduate program will be assessed by the university, and eligible students will be informed.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • $1000 tuition fee waiver for the first year of study

Eligibility:

  • Be a student at Australian Catholic University

  • Academic merit of a minimum 70%


7. University of Sydney Dr. Abdul Kalam International Postgraduate Scholarship: The University of Sydney offers this scholarship to international students pursuing a full-time Masters' course in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the university. Students who have achieved distinction in their undergraduate studies can apply for this scholarship. Applicants should not have any other scholarship from the university. The scholarship value includes 50% of the tuition fee for one year.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • 50% of the tuition fee

Eligibility:

  • For postgraduate students

  • Minimum 75% marks in undergraduate studies


8. The University of Queensland, School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences, Indian Scholarship:

The university gives this scholarship to Indian students pursuing a Masters program at the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences. The scholarship tenure is during the duration of the course, and the amount includes 50% of the tuition fee value. Students who have scored 75% or more in their undergraduate program can apply for this scholarship.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • 25% of tuition fees

  • 100% of the student services and amenities fee

Eligibility:

  • Indian citizenship

  • A GPA (or overseas equivalent) of at least 80% over 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or 75% over 8 semesters of undergraduate studies at a higher education institution in India that is ranked section 1 or 2 according to the Australian government’s National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR)

9. Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUPRS):

The Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUPRS) offers its beneficiaries a yearly living allowance of AUD 32,192. The receivers must only get any other financial support equal to or less than 75% of the GUPRS amount. Scholars will be getting the scholarship for two years.

Amount/Expense covered:

  • AUD 32,192 for living expenses
